The Lionel Pennsylvania GG-1 No. 2340 headed up the Congressional Set in 1955 only. This engine has a painted die-cast body and five rubber-stamped stripes and heat-stamped lettering. Today it is very hard to find examples that do not have faded stripes.
Has the RED smaller sized Keystone decals on the sides and on the ends. They are numbered "2340." This GG-1 electric engine was lighted at both ends that have operating coil couplers. Equipped with Magnetraction, there is a three position directional unit that controlled dual vertical worm drive motors, and it was equipped with a horn. The wiring can be changed so that the metal twin pantographs actually power this engine. There are two variations:
