VEHICLE ASSORTMENTS V-6 V-10, 1802 45987 (current issue) |
It wasn’t until 1954 that the citizens of the "Plastic Village" had the means to get around town. That was the year that Bachmann came out with the V-10 Vehicle Assortment. The V-6 followed two years later. Bachmann would never issue the vehicles contained in these assortments separately. The only way to obtain them was by purchasing these assortments, or getting them in the "Master Units," or selected individual kits. |
The problem with these assortments is the box, which was very flimsy. These were the only boxes that were issued that had an open front displaying the contents behind a clear cellophane wrapper. This wrapper is easily lost and the boxes are easily crushed. People just didn’t properly care for these items, which is why it is so hard to locate an intact box today, especially one that has the clear cellophane front. |
Listed below are the contents of the individual assortments. |
