The Lionel Single Dome Tank CarsThe Sunoco Single Dome No. 1005 was available from 1948 to 1950 as part of Lionel’s Scout Series of train sets. There are three variations of this car. One having a painted frame instead of the most common blackened frame, and the other would not have the steps on the side. None of these variations of this early post-war car are rare.
