The Lionel Switcher Type 0-4-0 Locomotive No. 1050 was issued uncataloged only in 1959. Based on the original plastic bodied No. 1001, this locomotive has a plastic motor that would only move in the forward direction. The motor is mounted to the body with a threaded pin.
The WHITE number is heat stamped on the cab. This locomotive is lighted with a headlight lens that has a rain shield and came with a No. 1050T slope back tender. Note that some of these tenders came without the "LIONEL LINES" WHITE heat-stamped imprint as is shown above.
Although rare, this locomotive has been ignored by collectors because of its economical appeal to the mass market.
There are no variations.
This locomotive was designed to work on O27 Gauge track and it will also run on O Gauge track. |
