Lionel Trains Graduated Trestle Set No. 110The Graduated Trestle Set No. 110 was first cataloged in 1955 and would continue to be in production until the end of the post-war period in 1969. It comprised either 22 or 24 piers of varying height molded in either GRAY or BLACK plastic, along with the hardware for mounting O, O27, and later Super O track to the piers. There were a number of different sized boxes that held this accessory that were produced over the years that it was in production, which accounts for the seven variations. Note that the first five variations listed below have 24 piers, and the last two came with 22 piers.

Variation A: Came in a plain BROWN box that has the number "110-23," which was Lionel’s part number for the box, on one side. Includes a parts envelope that is numbered 110-22. The trestles are attached to a cardboard strip that folded over to fit inside the box. This box was made by Densen Banner and was used in 1955. Box Dimensions: 23" long, 5" wide, 4-1/4" high.

No 110 Box Variation E

Variation B: Came in a plain BROWN box with RED and BLUE lettering that has the number "110-35" on one longs side or the bottom. This was Lionel’s part number for this box. The parts envelope is numbered 110-25. Made by Express Container Corp.

Variation C: Came in an ORANGE box that was numbered on the bottom "110-35" along with the manufacturer: Kraft Corrugated Container, Inc., Bayonne, New Jersey. The parts envelope is numbered 110-32. Box Dimensions: 14-3/4" long, 5-7/8" wide, 3-7/8" high.

Variation D: Identical to Variation C except made by Mead Containers, North Bergen, New Jersey. Box Dimensions: 14-7/8" long, 5-1/4" wide, 3-7/8" high.

Variation E: Identical to Variation B except came with BLACK instead of GRAY trestles. The box is YELLOW, is numbered "110-35," and was made by Star Corrugated Box Company, Inc. Parts envelope is numbered 110-26.

Variation F: Came in an ORANGE and BLUE box that was labeled "Lionel No. 110 22 pieces Graduated Trestle Set." Made by United Container Co., this Hillside Box and shows a 1061 Scout set on the cover. Box Dimensions: 11" long, 8" wide, 4" high.

Variation G: Came in an ORANGE box with BLACK lettering, is labeled on the end "No. 110 / TRESTLE SET / LIONEL TRAINS" and is numbered 110-35. Made by Kraft Corrugated Containers, Inc. / Bayonne, N.J.
