The Lionel Columbia Type 2-4-2-Locomotive No. 1130 would be available for two years beginning in 1953. This locomotive was the precursor to the 200 Series and is usually found in with a Type I BLACK painted plastic body. The tooling that was used for the No. 1654 was extensively reworked to add the details to this plastic body that compensated for the loss of the added nickel trim parts that were used on the No. 1654.

This locomotive still retains the metal motor, but has a three position directional unit whose control lever points down, and is equipped with weights both in the front and rear of the boiler that aid in its tractive effort. It has a light and headlight lens, and came with either a No. 6066T (Note: the bold serif "LIONEL LINES" lettering on the example pictured above) early coal, or a No. 1130T streamlined tender.
