The powered unit was equipped with Magnetraction, a horn that was operated by a D Cell battery, and a three position directional unit whose control lever was adjustable from underneath the chassis. Variation A: YELLOW body with RED stripes and lettering, and GRAY hood in front of the cab, roof, and truck side frames. Lionel had a problem in applying this GRAY paint to the hood, and after the first issues in 1950 it would be discontinued, resulting in: |
