Lionel Trains FA AA Unit DieselsThe Lionel Santa Fe FA No. 208 was available in 1958 and 1959 and was painted Santa Fe Freight colors.

Produced on a BLUE painted body with YELLOW cab and upper stripe, and RED and YELLOW lower stripes and lettering. This diesel, unlike its predcessor No. 204, did not have a light in the dummy unit, but is equipped with a horn in the power unit.

Note built date of 8-57 is the same as No. 204Came with a single vertical worm drive Type IIE motor that powered two axles and utilized Magnetraction. This engine had a three position directional unit whose control lever was adjustable from the top of the body. Both units have a sheet metal chassis that are equipped with solid non-operating couplers. There are no variations.

All of the Lionel Alco FA units are designed to work on the tighter radius of O27 gauge track, but they will run equally well on O gauge track.
