Lionel Trains FA AA Unit DieselsThe Lionel Texas Special FA No. 211 would be issued on two different occasions. The first was 1962 and 1963. Only those units that were produced in 1962 have two axle Magnetraction. All subsequent issues would use a traction tires on the power truck. This diesel did not have a horn, but the powered unit had a light and was equipped with a two position directional unit whose control lever was adjustable from the top of the body. A single vertical worm drive Type IIIB motor powers two axles. The lettering was heat-stamped on these units and the sheet metal chassis have solid non-operating couplers. Last produced in 1965-66. There are no variations.

All of the Lionel Alco FA units are designed to work on the tighter radius of O27 gauge track, but they will run equally well on O gauge track.
