The Virginian E-33 Rectifier No. 2329 was Lionel’s only release of this type of engine in during the Post War period. Available in 1958 and 1959, this engine featured a single operating pantograph and magnetic operating couplers, a three position directional unit that controls a single vertical worm drive motor, operating horn, and Magnetraction. It is lighted at both ends. The overhead pantograph could be wired to power this engine.

Produced on a BLUE body, it would have YELLOW painted stripes and heat-stamped lettering. Reproduction shells use a silk screen process. There are no variations.
