The Lionel New Haven FA A Unit No. 232 was produced in 1962 on a sheet metal frame that has one solid non-operating coupler at the rear. The body has the front coupler pocket filled in and is painted ORANGE with BLACK stripes and BLACK and WHITE lettering. This diesel has a two-position directional unit whose control lever is adjustable from the top, Type IIE motor, two axle Magnetraction, and an interior light, but no horn. There are no variations.

This engine headed up set No. 11232 that was issued with O27 track, but it will run equally well on O gauge track.
