The Plate Girder Bridge No. 314 was a carry-over from the pre-war era. The sides were cast metal and they were riveted to a thick sheet metal base that supported the track.

Produced from 1945 until 1950, in 1947 Lionel would change the shade of the GRAY paint, and the rubber stamped lettering would be 3/8" high (Variation B), instead of the 5/16" high letters that were seen previously (Variation A).

Dimensions: 10 inches long, 4-1/2 inches wide.
