Lionel Trains Turbo Missile Launching Flat Car No. 3309The Turbo Missile Launching Car No. 3349 would launch its "wheel shaped turbo missile" manually from a spring mechanism. This car was pictured in the catalogs with a number on the side, but it was only produced with no inscription. Unlike the No. 3309 the No. 3349 came with an extra turbo missile holder and missile. The frame was based on the No. 3650 depressed center Searchlight flat car and this version has no mold number. This unmarked car came with AAR trucks, disc couplers, its own instruction sheet, and was available from 1962 until 1965. There is two variations:

Note the upper right illustation that shows a TEAL colored launcher and the car has Arch-bar trucks with solid non-operating couplers. This car was a modification done by Madision Hardware after the end of the post war period.
