The Lionel U.S. Marines Mobile Missle Launcher No. 45 was painted OLIVE DRAB on a GRAY shell with WHITE lettering and a BLUE operator sitting at the control panel. Available from 1960 until 1962, this engine came with Magnetraction, had a three position directional unit whose control lever was adjustable from the top of the body, Type IIF motor, RED light on the roof, and one solid die-cast coupler. There are no variations.

Lionel issued this unit for use on O27 track, but it will also operate on the larger radius curves of O gauge track.
