The Rotary Beacon No. 494 used a vibrator coil at the top instead of the heat of the lamp that was used on the No. 394 to rotate the beacon. Available from 1954 until 1966, there are two wire clips on the bottom to connect this accessory to a power source. The best source is a variable voltage accessory circuit so that the rate of rotation of the beacon can be adjusted.

The A Variation has a RED painted tower with a SILVER lettered BLACK metal plate attached to the base, the B Variation has an unpainted aluminum tower, and the somewhat heavier C Variation is SILVER painted sheet metal.

Dimensions: 11-3/4 inches high, with a 5 inches square base.
