The Lionel SP Type CaboosesThe Lionel Lines Caboose No. 6167 was available in 1963 and 1964, and was produced on a RED Die 4 body (A Variation) and was also painted RED on the same body type (D Variation). The latter being much harder to find than the former.

All issues of this caboose came with a galvanized metal chassis with no hand rails that secured the body with end tabs. This galvanized chassis was introduced in 1963. The WHITE "LIONEL LINES" and "6167" lettering were heat stamped on the sides.

Came with AAR trucks in various combinations usually with one disc and one solid coupler. There are four variations:

Variation A: Unpainted RED body that has either two solid couplers or one solid and one operating disc coupler.
Variation B: Cataloged as 6167-100 in the Lionel Service Manual with one operating disc coupler.
Variation C: Cataloged as 6167-150 in the Lionel Service Manual with one solid coupler.
Variation D: RED painted body. No concern is given for the types of couplers on this variation.
