Lionel Trains Jersey Central NW-2 Diesel Switcher No. 621 Variation A

Lionel Trains NW-2 Diesel SwitcherThe Lionel Jersey Central No. 621 Switcher was available for two years 1956 and 1957. This BLUE engine probably had two different manufactures runs which accounts for the different colors of the plastic that was used. It was equipped with a three position directional unit whose control lever was adjustable from the bottom of the sheet metal chassis, and it was powered by one Type IID motor with single axle Magnetraction, and operating disc couplers on both ends.

There are two variations:

Variation A: ROYAL BLUE body.

Lionel issued this diesel for use on O27 track, but it will also operate on the larger radius curves of O gauge track.
