Lionel Trains Burlington GE 44-Ton Diesel Switcher No. 629

Lionel Trains GE 44-ton Diesel SwitcherThe Lionel Burlington No. 629 Switcher was issued only in 1956 and used the same paint scheme as the GP-7 No. 2328. It had a sheet metal chassis, Type IID motor, one axle Magnetraction, operating couplers, and a three position directional unit that was adjustable from underneath the chassis. This engine is very difficult to find with a quality SILVER finish and a premium is paid today for those units that are in excellent or better condition. There are no variations.
