The Baltimore & Ohio Timesaver Box Car No. 6464-400 was produced in 1956 and 1957 and again in the last year of the Post War Period: 1969. Its BLUE body has a SILVER painted roof with a variable width ORANGE stripe on the sides with BLUE and WHITE heat-stamped lettering. The BLUE Multi-block doors are usually painted, and there is a "B & O Timesaver" decal to the right side of the door.

The number that appears on the sides is "6464400", and this box car came with bar-end trucks that usually have tabbed couplers.

There are eight variations:

Variation A: Created on an unpainted MEDIUM BLUE Type IIB body that shows a built date of "BLT 5-54 / BY LIONEL".

Variation B: Identical to Variation A except used an unpainted ROYAL BLUE body.

Variation C: Created on an unpainted MEDIUM BLUE Type IIB body that shows a built date of "BLT 2-56 / BY LIONEL".

Variation D: Identical to Variation C except used an unpainted ROYAL BLUE body.

Variation E: Created on an unpainted ROYAL BLUE Type IIB body that shows a built date of "BLT 5-54 / BY LIONEL" on one side and "BLT 2-56 / BY LIONEL" on the reverse side. A rare factory error variation.

Variation F: Created on an unpainted MEDIUM BLUE Type IV body that shows a no built date.

Variation G: Identical to Variation F except the DARK BLUE lettering is an obvious different shade.

Variation H: Identical to Variation F except the body is painted DARK BLUE.
