Lionel Trains New Haven Box Car No. 6464-425New Haven Box Car No. 6464-425 was available from 1956 until 1958. This box car was cataloged in 1969, but was actually produced under the number 6464-725 Variation F and was packaged in Hagerstown boxes.

The 1956-58 productions were manufactured on painted or unpainted Type IIA and Type III bodies with WHITE heat-stamped lettering and an ORANGE plastic Multi-block doors. During 1956 and early 1957 this car came with bar-end trucks with magnetic couplers. Throughout the remainder of production early AAR trucks with disc couplers were used.

Two different heat-stamps were used for the lettering which accounts for half of the variations. On one of these stamps half of top part of the serif crossing the "N" in "N/H" is missing. This is illustrated below.

There are six variations:

Variation A: Used a Type IIA BLACK body with half-serif on "N".

Variation B: Identical to Variation A except with a full-serif on "N".

Variation C: Used a Type IIA BLACK painted body with a half-serif on "N".

Variation D: Identical to Variation C except with a full-serif on "N".

Variation E: Used a Type IIA GLOSSY BLACK painted body with a half-serif on "N".

Variation F: Used a Type III BLACK painted body with a full-serif on "N".
