Timken Box Car No. 6464-500Timken Box Car No. 6464-500 was available in 1957-58 and also in the last year of Post War production: 1969. Except for two variations, all versions have a painted WHITE middle band, Multi-block doors, and DARK GRAY heat stamped lettering. Most of the examples that have been found have bar-end trucks with tabbed couplers. There are six variations:

Variation A: Unpainted YELLOW Type IIB body with "BLT 3-57 / BY LIONEL" date.

Variation B: Identical to Variation A but has a YELLOW/ORANGE body.

Variation C: Painted YELLOW Type IIB GRAY plastic body with "BLT 3-57 / BY LIONEL" date.

Variation D: Unpainted YELLOW Type III body with "BLT 3-57 / BY LIONEL" date.

Variation E: Painted LIGHT YELLOW Type IV body without built date information. 1969 production.

Variation F: Same as Variation E except with a painted MEDIUM YELLOW body.

Variation G: This variation was produced for Glen Uhl, a Lionel Service Station owner in Akron Ohio. It has an ORANGE body that has bar-end trucks equipped with tabbed couplers. This car was released uncataloged in 1971 by MPC under the post war number, it is listed here for reference.
