The Bulkhead Pipe Car No. 6477 was produced during the years 1957 and 1958. Early issues would have bar-end trucks with tabbed couplers. Later issues had AAR trucks with disc couplers. There are three variations to this car. On those cars that came with AAR trucks there is a variation that has the number to the left of "LIONEL" inscription on the side. Collectors should be aware that the "Liquefied Gases" cylinder is sometimes substituted on this car. This cylinder is properly used only on No. 6469.
