Lionel Trains Atomic Waste Disposal Car No. 6805 Variation B

Lionel Trains Atomic Waste Disposal Car No. 6805The Atomic Waste Disposal Car No. 6805 was available for two years beginning in 1958 and it came with two "Super-O" rails mounted on a mold No. 6424-11 flat car. The "RADIOACTIVE WASTE" canisters would flash RED though the three lenses on the sides and the lettering "DANGER" was RED and was underscored on these cannisters. The car was equipped with bar-end trucks with tabbed couplers. There are three variations:

Variation A: GRAY cannisters.

Variation B: GRAY/TAN cannisters.

Variation C: There is no number on this car. It is believed to have originated in an uncatalogued set, and it has GRAY cannisters, and arch-bar trucks with one disc and one solid coupler.

MPC has reproduced the cannisters but they are unpainted GRAY plastic, whereas the originals are painted BLACK plastic.
