The Lionel Rescue Unit Work Caboose No. 6814 was made from 1959 until 1961. This caboose was included in many of the Space & Military Sets that Lionel produced during these years. Made on a GRAY sheet metal frame, it came with a rescue worker, and WHITE tool boxes, oxygen tanks and stretchers. It is difficult to find complete today. Equipped with AAR trucks, some units came with two disc couplers. The B Variation has a BLACK frame and was available through Sears in 1964.
