Lionel Trains Allis-Chalmers Scraper Flat Car No. 6817The Allis-Chalmers Scraper Flat Car No. 6817 was available in 1959 and 1960. It was produced on a RED 6511-2 Die 4 or 6424-11 chassis, or a BLACK 6424-11 chassis. This car has its WHITE number to the left of the "LIONEL" side inscription. Came with early AAR trucks and disc couplers. There are two types of scrapers:

Type 1: WHITE "Allis-Chalmers" is heat-stamped on the main frame of the scraper and it also has raised BLACK letters on the engine hood. Came with a wire frame windshield.
Type 2: All heat-stamped lettering has been removed as has the windshield. This is the more commonly found version.

The scraper is very delicate and is difficult to find undamaged. It was available for separate sale and is usually found in a WHITE box with the number 6817-100 stamped on the ends.

There are some variations in the color of these scapers, however, none are nearly as pronounced as the Type 6 Dozer for the No. 6816.
