The Dwarf Signal No. 148 was produced on a BUFF colored body with a BLACK light cover that concealed one RED, L19(R), and one GREEN, L19(G), pin type lamps. Available from 1957 through 1960, this signal came with its own switch, No. 148-100, that would change the aspect of the signal manually, or it could be used with a No. 153C contact placed beneath the track. The No. 148-100 Manual Control Switch is often mistaken for the No. 364C, but it is marked "148-100" on the bottom and is a single pole double throw switch.
This switch came in an envelope numbered 148-12 that is pictured to the right and it is difficult to find this accessory today with the No. 148-100 manual control switch. There was only one instruction sheet that was printed for the dwarf signal. Dated 10-57, No. 148-13 has BLUE ink printed on WHITE paper. We’ve shown pictures of the front and back pages of this instruction sheet below. There are no variations.
Dimensions: Base is 1-5/8" by 1-7/8", 2 inches high.
