The Railway Express Agency Baggage Car No. 2530 was produced from 1954 until 1960. This extruded aluminum baggage car has SILVER painted ends and was not illuminated. This baggage car was first produced with large baggage doors. These were only available during the first year of production. After this, to strengthen the cars sides, this car was only produced with the small doors. The glued Railway Express Agency name plates have simulated rivets painted on each corner and were usually placed on the lower portion of the ribbed sides. Late production examples have been found of this car that have a high-gloss finish. There are five variations: |
