The Lionel Single Dome Tank CarsThe Metal Sunoco Single Dome No. 2755 is a premium car that was available only in 1945 as part of Set No. 463W and was illustrated in the 1945 catalog as a pre-war GRAY No. 2755. Lionel wanted to use up the pre-war decals for the 2755 and they used them on this car. This tank car consisted of a die-cast frame that has steps at the corners, sheet-metal tank, and the lettering is by decals, on the left "SUNOCO" decal with "GAS" and "OILS" inside the YELLOW diamond logo, and on the right side "S.U.N.X. 2755." Cars whose decals have not discolored with age are highly valued today. This car came with a brake stand, ladders, and placards that are located only on the sides. Equipped with staple-end trucks that have electronic coil couplers. There are three variations:

Variation A: "SUNOCO" decal with a flat bottom and thin letters and a "S.U.N.X. 2855" decal that usually has a notched bottom.
