The Operating Poultry Dispatch Car No. 3434 upon activation by the use of a UCS or No. 6019 control track section would open the door and the sweeper would clean the inside of the car.
When first released in 1959, the center rail electric pick-up rollers were not perfected for the AAR trucks, so early versions of this car have bar-end trucks with tabbed couplers. Produced in 1959 and 1960, and again in 1964-66, there are three variations:
Variation A: Painted DARK BROWN body with BLUE man that has FLESH colored hands, face, and broom. Has bar-end trucks 1959 production.
Variation B: Painted DARK BROWN body with GRAY man. Has AAR trucks with disc couplers. 1959-60 production.
Variation C: Painted LIGHT BROWN car body with GRAY man and has AAR trucks with disc couplers. 1964-66 production. |
