Lionel Trains Submarine Flat Car No. 3830The U.S. Navy Submarine Car No. 3830 was available from 1960 through 1963 and is the easiest to find of the submarine cars. The BLUE flat car mold No. 6511-2 was used to carry this operating submarine that could be used in a pool and would submerge and resurface. The car came with AAR trucks and disc couplers. The submarine has been reproduced so collectors should be cautious.
