The Minneapolis & St. Louis Caboose No. 6059 was produced on a Die 4 body with AAR trucks that had either one disc or solid coupler. Production started in 1961, and ended with the last year of the Post War Era: 1969. During this period there were four variations:
Variation A: is has a RED painted body over GRAY plastic. 1961 Production.
Variation B: has a medium RED body that is not painted.
Variation C: is an unpainted DARK RED color.
Variation D: has an unpainted MAROON body.
Some variations of this car that were cataloged under the No. 6059-50 during 1963-64 came with one solid non-operating coupler and one disc coupler.
This car was issued in many catalogued and uncataloged sets and because of this it is difficult to find with a box. The only boxes that exist are from 1962 in set No. 11288 that is stamped "6059" on the end, and in 1963-64, in a checkerboard Hagerstown box labeled "6059-50" on the end. |
