Super-O Power Lockon No. 62 was produced from 1957 until 1966. While these lockon clips are common the envelope is collectible. Lionel dealers sold these out of envelopes where one dozen were housed per Assembly Envelope No. 62-25.
These lockons were used for electrical connection to the center rail of Super-O track. They were more versatile than the CTC Lockons because they were more narrow and would achieve better electrical contact on curved sections of track. Besides, they were required to be this size to fit between the narrow spaces between the ties of Super-O track. There are no variations. |
