This flat car was created on a die-cast frame with the number "6411" rubber stamped on the bottom. It came with eight stakes, three MEDIUM BROWN logs, two brake wheels, four steps, and end railings. The brake wheels, steps, and railings are often found either bent, broken, or missing. There are four variations:
Variation A: Came with staple-end trucks equipped with electronic coil couplers. 1948 production.
Variation B: Came with staple-end trucks equipped with magnetic couplers. 1948-50 production.
Variation C: Identical to Variation B except DARK GRAY color similar to what is seen on the No. 6419 and No. 6420 Work Caboose chassis.
Variation D: Identical to Variation B except with sans-serif lettering on the sides. |
