6465 Gulf 2 Dome Tank CarThe Gulf 2-Dome Tank Car No. 6465 was only available in 1958 on a Type 9 frame. The rubber-stamped tri-colored "GULF" herald is to the left, "BLT 1-58 / BY LIONEL" is centered on the tank, and "LIONEL LINES / 6465" is located to the right side of this tank car.

Equipped with early AAR trucks with disc couplers, this car is often found in late, or late bold classic boxes that have either a "-60" or "-85" suffix attached to the number. These suffixes have nothing to do with the variations of these cars and why Lionel used them is a mystery. There are three variations:

Variation A: Unpainted BLACK tank.
