The Operating Horse Transport Car No. 6473 was a modification of the standard 9-1/4 inch cattle car and was produced between 1962 and 1966. This car would be released again in the last year of post-war production: 1969.

There is one pair of WHITE and another pair of BROWN horses that would bob out of the side of the car as it was moved along the track.

This car is unpainted YELLOW plastic with heat-stamped lettering. Production prior to 1964 it most commonly came with AAR trucks that have disc couplers. Production after 1963 have the same trucks with only one disc coupler and one solid non-operating coupler.

The box was labeled "RODEO CAR" on the ends.

There are four variations:

Variation A: Is a LIGHT YELLOW car with MAROON lettering.

Variation B: Is a LIGHT YELLOW car with RED lettering.

Variation C: Is a DARK YELLOW car with MAROON lettering.

Variation D: Is a DARK YELLOW car with RED lettering.
