Lionel Lichen Assortment No. 971The Lionel Lichen Assortment No. 971 was produced by Life-Like for Lionel between 1960 and 1964. The lichen came in GREEN, YELLOW and BROWN colors, and if it is original, is found in a dried up condition. Because replacement lichen is redily available, the value of this accessory is tied up in the box, of which there are four variations:

Variation A: No weight printed on the front or the ends.

Variation B: 4-1/4 oz. printed on the box.

Variation C: 4-1/2 oz. and "MADE IN U.S. of AMERICA" printed on the box.

Variation D: 4-1/2 oz. with no "MADE IN U.S. of AMERICA" printed on the box.
