The Outdoor Barbecue, FR-5, was introduced in 1950, and came in a dealer box of 12. It was renumbered 1004 in 1957. Technically there are three main colors that this barbecue was manufactured in: LIGHT GRAY, DARK GRAY and MARBLED GRAY. However, we’ve seen many additional shades of colors, some of them approaching BLACK, especially on the MARBLED version of this piece. We’we illustrated some of these color variations below. Bachmann would also use this item in other kits like the "House and Yard Accessories Unit."
