The Lionel Bucyrus Erie Crane Car No. 2460 was first issued in 1946 and was available until 1950. There are six variations for this car:

Variation A: has a GRAY cab
Variation B: has a glossy GRAY cab
Variation C: has a BLACK cab and thin, narrow numbers "2460"
Variation D: has a BLACK cab and thick, wide numbers "2460"
Variation E: has "LIONEL LINES" printed on two lines on the back of the cab
Variation F: same as E except the boom is ORANGE plastic that is painted BLACK

There are other differences withing these variations like the type of six wheel trucks, the length of the boom screw, and the length of the crank handles that were used on these cars. All of these cars came with electronic coil couplers on passenger car style trucks.
