The Lionel Trains No. 6460 Crane CarThe Lionel Bucyrus Erie Crane Car No. 6460 was issued from 1952 until 1954 and replaced the No. 2460 that was last issued in 1950. This crane has heat-stamped "LIONEL LINES" printed on the BLACK painted cab in WHITE sans-serif lettering on two lines, of which the upper line is arched. The lettering on the side of the die-cast metal chassis is also heat-stamped in WHITE and this lettering accounts for the variations of this car. Note that the hook is turned ninety degrees from the direction of the pulley. The handles on the cranks are a quarter inch long and this car usually came with four-wheel bar-end trucks that have magnetic couplers.
