The Operating Helium Dump Car No. 3362 was produced in 1961 through 1963 and again in 1965 through the last year of post-war production in 1969. Of the three variations two of these came with helium tanks, and the other, Variation B, came with logs in a box marked as No. 3364, but the car was lettered with the No. 3362 and has AAR trucks with two operating disc couplers. This variation was produced between 1965 and 1968.

Variation A: GREEN plastic dump car that would operate with the use of a No. 6019 or UCS section and dump the tanks/logs into a line side bin. The lettering was in WHITE and was rubber-stamped on the side. This car came wooden helium tanks and has either early or late AAR trucks with combinations of disc or fixed couplers. Produced between 1961 and 1963.

Variation C: was produced in 1969 only and has no lettering on the side. Came with only two helium tanks and AAR trucks with one operating and one fixed coupler in a Checkerboard box marked "3362/3364 / OPERATING / UNLOADING CAR." None of these cars were ever produced with the number 3364 on the sides and the instruction sheets that accompanied them were labeled 3362-15.

Note: Since the lettering on these cars is easy to remove the value of Variation C listed above is dependent upon inclusion of the box. Collectors should also be aware of the fact that the helium tanks have been reproduced.
