The Operating Helium Dump Car No. 3362 has three variations. Two of these came with helium tanks, and the other, Variation B, came with logs in a box marked as No. 3364, but the car was lettered with the No. 3362. This variation was produced between 1965 and 1968.

Variation A was produced in 1961 through 1963 and again in 1965 through the last year of post-war production in 1969. It was a late GREEN plastic dump car that would operate with the use of a 6019 or UCS section and dump the tanks/logs into a line side bin. The lettering was in WHITE and was rubber-stamped on the side. This car came with early and late AAR trucks with combinations of disc or fixed couplers.

Variation C was produced in 1969 only and had no lettering on the side. Came with only two helium tanks in a Checkerboard box marked "OPERATING / UNLOADING CAR No. 3364." None of these cars were ever produced with the number 3364 on the sides and the instruction sheets that accompanied them were labeled 3362-15.
