Monon Operating Box Car No. 3494-550 Variation A

Lionel Trains Monon Operating Box Car No. 3494-550The Monon No. 3494-550 was produced in 1957 and 1958 on a Type IIB MAROON plastic body with Multi-Block doors and WHITE painted strip and heat stamped lettering. The only variation has the date "BLT 6-57" on it (Variation A). The B Variation shows the wear on this die and the date is not visible. Came with bar-end trucks and tabbed couplers.

Because this car was never issued as part of a set it is difficult to find and is highly prised by collectors today.
