The Operating Barrel Car No. 3562-1 are the BLACK varieties of this car. First issued in 1954, this would be the only year that this car was available. The two variations of this car have to do with the color of the metal barrel ramp. The A Variation would have a BLACK ramp, while the B Variation has a ramp that is YELLOW. This car came with bar-end trucks equipped with magnetic couplers, six barrels, and an unloading bin.

The Operating Barrel Car No. 3562-25 are the GRAY varieties of this car. The barrel car used a vibrator located in the car to unload the barrels into a line side bin with the use of a 6019 or UCS track section. Produced in 1954 and 1955, the variations have to do with the coloring of the lettering on the car and the way the man mounts. The first issue had RED (Variation A) lettering, and other variations had ROYAL BLUE (Variation B) and DARK BLUE lettering (Variation C & D). This car was painted GRAY over a clear body and came with bar-end trucks with magnetic couplers.

The Operating Barrel Car No. 3562-50 are the YELLOW varieties of this car. The barrel car used a vibrator located in the car to unload the barrels into a line side bin. Produced in 1955 and 1956, early issues would be painted and came in a box marked "3562-25Y." This car would come with bar-end trucks that sometimes have tabbed couplers. Later editions, Variation B, would be unpainted YELLOW plastic.

The Operating Barrel Car No. 3562-75 is the ORANGE version of this car. The barrel car used a vibrator located in the car to unload the barrels into a line side bin. Produced in 1957 and 1958, it would have the date "NEW 5-54" written on the sides of this car that would come with bar-end trucks that have tabbed couplers. There are no known variations of this car.
