The Lionel 6014 Series Box CarsThe Airex Box Car No. 6014-100 was listed as produced in 1959 in the Lionel Service Manual and shown in the 1960 Advanced Catalog as a component of uncataloged sets that were issued this year. Produced on an unpainted RED Type I or Type II body with YELLOW and WHITE heat-stamped lettering.

This car came with early AAR trucks with disc couplers, and was issued in a 1958 late classic ORANGE over stamped box, or a perforated box that had the suffix "100" behind the number. This car is identical to the No. 6044 with the exception of the color changes. Note that only the number "6014" appears on the car. There are two variations:

Variation A: The number "1" in "6014" in serif lettering.

Variation B: The number "1" in "6014" in sans-serif lettering.
