The Airplane Car No. 6800 had a Beechcraft Bonanza airplane that was either YELLOW over BLACK or these colors were reversed. Produced on a 6424-11 Mold two different variations occurred with the number to the right or the left of the "LIONEL" inscription on the side. There is a third variation that used Mold 6511-2. Early issues in 1957 would have bar-end trucks while later issues have AAR trucks with disc couplers. This car was not produced after 1960. Reproduction airplanes are available. The original planes were marked on the bottom "No. 6800-60 AIRPLANE / THE LIONEL CORPORATION / NEW YORK NY / MADE IN U.S. OF AMERICA."
