Girder Bridge Flat Car No. 6802 Variation A

Lionel Trains Girder Bridge Flat Car No. 6802Girder Bridge Flat Car No. 6802 was produced in 1958 and 1959 on a RED chassis with WHITE heat-stamped lettering. The number is located to the left of the "LIONEL" inscription on the car sides. This is the normal position of the number for cars equiped with AAR trucks. Came with two operating disc couplers.
This car is often found with the wrong bridge. The proper U.S. Steel bridge should have the number "6418" embossed in raised numbers on the right panel. Sometimes this number is found painted WHITE. The bridge is held in place by a No. 6418-9 elastic tie. There are two variations:
Variation A: Uses a 6424-11 chassis flat car mold.
Variation B: Uses a 6511-2 chassis flat car mold.
