The 1305 Block Signal

The Plasticville Block Signal is one of the more elusive small accessories made by Bachmann. It was only sold in a "bubble pack" with a card stock backing, as is illustrated to the right. The Block Signal was only available from 1960 through 1963. There were always two signals per package.

This piece is harder to find in this original packaging, but is still difficult without it.

Often the ladder is missing because it has become unglued. There are no replacement ladders that are made and supply is limited to those that are sometimes found in "junk boxes" at train shows. It is difficult to mate ladders to the signal when they have been broken and many times I have had to scratch build portions of ladders to make them fit properly.

Block Signal Lenses
The lenses that fit in the signal head of the block signal are often missing. These lenses were identical to those that would fit the Signal Bridge and the Turnpike Interchange. There are no replacement parts available for these lenses and supply is limited to what can be found in existing kits.
