The Pennsylvania No. X2454 Box Car was only available in 1946. Built on an ORANGE painted body, with BLACK lettering and number "65400" to the left of the door. These doors are different on each side. Lionel was using up a supply of pre-war doors that were used on the No. X2458 and the pre-war No. X2758. The chassis is attached to the body by four screws and had steps at each corner. There are two variations:
Variation A: Metal ORANGE painted doors and Type 2 trucks.
Variation B: Metal BROWN painted doors and Type 2 or 3a trucks. |
