ADDITIONAL RAILROAD CENTER UNITS

There are two additional known units of the Railroad Center. What is not known is when, or why, they were manufactured. Collectors have speculated that these were made for a large retail outlets like Sears or Montgomery Ward. Because the contents are not shown on the box, and there is no catalog reference to these units, the correct contents are unknown. If you know anything about these Master Units we would like to hear from you. Illustrated below are the side panels of these boxes.

ROAD RACING ACCESSORIES UNIT

This would be the last Master Unit issued by Bachmann until 1977. The contents of this unit tell the story of why this occurred. The pieces were sized for 1/32 large scale race cars and this is most noticeable in the size of the people when compared to what Bachmann had made prior to this for the "O" and "S" scale train market.

EXCEPTION: We’ve violated our qualifications for these Master Units to illustrate this item. There were no internal box dividers in this item and each of the component pieces were individually wrapped in sealed bags. The reason that we have done this is for historical purposes, and also because this item was made only these two years and is in great demand today by collectors.
